The Town of Agawam is embarking on an exciting journey to revitalize its downtown area, aiming to create a vibrant, welcoming, and thriving center for residents, businesses, and visitors alike. To ensure this vision reflects the communitys needs and aspirations, the Town is launching a comprehensive outreach and engagement initiative. This plan outlines how we will connect with stakeholders, gather meaningful input, and foster inclusive participation throughout the planning process. By combining in-person events with digital tools like Konveio, we’re making it easier than ever for everyone to have a voice in shaping the future of Downtown Agawam.

 

 

Grant Funding

This effort is being funded via a Community Planning Grant from the Massachusetts Community Assistance Unit. The Community Planning Grant Program funds a variety of activities related to community planning. This competitive grant program awards funds based on the project’s nexus with housing, transportation, infrastructure, economic development, and community development. The Town of Agawam was awarded $135,000 through this program to develop an implementation plan for revitalizing the downtown Ramah Circle/Walnut Street area for a vibrant commercial, business, and retail district with opportunities for affordable housing.
